Très chers Collègues et amis

La FAGHEM nous a fait l’honneur de choisir la ville de Lille pour la quatrième édition des Assises de Génétique Humaine
et Médicale. Soyez les bienvenus du 17 au 19 janvier 2008 dans notre belle capitale des Flandres, ville frontière et ouverte.

Conscients de l’importance que les Assises ont prise dans la vie de la Génétique Francophone, nous avons mis tout en oeuvre pour que cette quatrième édition soit à la hauteur des précédentes manifestations de Marseille, d’Angers et de Montpellier.

Le programme élaboré par le comité scientifique, sous la direction de son président Serge Amselem, est de très haut niveau. Il se veut largement ouvert, au-delà de l’hexagone.Nous souhaitons que ces Assises de Lille, soient une occasion unique d’échanges fructueux entre toutes les branches de notre discipline, entre les hommes et les femmes des services cliniques, des laboratoires, et des unités de recherche, entre les plus jeunes et les plus expérimentés. Comme chaque fois, les Associations de patients, ô combien importantes dans notre discipline, font partie intégrante de cette édition.
En ce mois de janvier 2008, Lille sera plus que jamais belle, chaleureuse et accueillante pour vous remercier de l’honorer de votre présence.
Nous espérons que,grâce à vous,ces quatrièmes Assises continueront d’être cet événement scientifique majeur et ce lieu de convivialité qui tous les deux ans nous réunit.

HGVS Scientific Meeting on HOW TO EXPLORE HUMAN GENOTYPE-PHENOTYPE RELATIONSHIPS

* This one-day symposium (a Satellite to the ESHG European Human Genetics Meeting) will assist researchers interested in deciphering human 'genotype-phenotype' relationships. Distinguished invited speakers will report on their latest ideas for tackling inherited and somatic mutations, theory and practice, simple and complex variation, and a range of biomedical phenotypes - to illustrate where the field may be heading and how members of the audience can best contribute to this fascinating field of research.

* Abstract submission is optional, with a deadline of 14th April 2008

* Registration will be open until the day of the meeting, subject to spaces being available.

* At this high-profile workshop-style meeting you will hear talks by leading researchers, present your own work, and discuss the latest challenges concerned with genome variation.
